
About Emily...
Emily Richards (she/her) is a Mental Health Endorsed Occupational Therapist with extensive experience working with adults and young people (12+ years old). Emily provides counselling and psychotherapy aligned to Psychodynamic and Narrative practices with a focus on creating safe, affirming spaces for reflection, exploration, and connection.
As an experienced clinician, Emily is practiced at integrating a range of therapeutic techniques and strategies to find the 'best fit' for each person. This can include, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, sensory modulation, and somatic practices.
Emily works with individuals who may identify a range of presenting concerns, including:
- Low mood & Depression
- Anxiety and panic
- Emotional dysregulation
- Trauma, trust, and relationships
- Disordered eating - restriction, binge/purge, preoccupation with body weight/shape etc.
- Self-worth and self-confidence

As a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Emily can provide sessions subsidised by a GP Mental Health Care Plan and funded through the NDIS.

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. AHPRA registered. OTA endorsed. Qualified Clinical Supervisor.
